Joe Driscoll is a one of a kind artist. The music he creates is an effortless fusion of many seemingly divergent genres. His sound is located at the crossroads of folk and hip-hop; he’s a singer songwriter solidly rooted in the funk, fusing elements spanning from Americana to reggae, utilsing multiple instruments; and all this rooted in a solid foundation of storytelling that holds it all together.

Not only an innovator for the unique music he creates, but also for the way in which he creates it. One of the originators of the beatbox looping sound, Time Out Magazine referred to him as the sonic wonderkid who creates his own 21st century ‘folk’ live onstage sample by sample, beat by beat. Driscoll uses Boss RC-50 live looping technology, to layer up elements of beatbox, guitar, harmonica, didjerido, melodicas, percussion instruments, and any other instruments that inspire to create a collage of sound, live on stage, each night. If you close your eyes, listening to the soundscape of the full band, you’d never imagine a lone character onstage.
